The cigar/motor club just turned this shit up to 11. And no, this isn’t a 2016. HOT DAMN, we have OLD SCHOOL COOL mixed with (slightly used) NEW HOTNESS up in hurr tonight!!
HO. LEE. CRAP you guise. Initially, I thought this was a 1966 GT350. And a beautiful example at that. The only problem with it was that the side mirrors and windshield wipers are missing. But is it a 1966? The ‘65 only came in white, but the ‘66 had rear exhaust. If you notice in the side pic, the exhaust is coming out from under the doors. This makes me think that it’s actually a ‘65 with a new paint job that’s 95% restored. And that paint felt like satin (VERY well waxed, zero flaws), so I can see how it would be a new coat. Also, definitely a real GT350:
So who would like to see a remarkably similar looking vehicle that’s completely different? Oh $kay...
Yeah, no introduction needed. Just drool over the next few pics. Careful with your keyboard.
And now for something that might make a few of you uneasy:
It has John’s 700 horsepower package on it. Say what you want, but are you REALLY going to bitch about this car? DIDN’T THINK SO.
Oh yes, the SLR McLaren went topless tonight.
That is a fine looking vehicle. However, I saw a finer-looking vehicle that I couldn’t get a shot of. An Eleanor was driving by the shop earlier. It was the first Eleanor that I’ve seen on the street, moving. And DEAR GOD it sounded like pure sex on wheels. So, who wants to grab a cigar next week?
Bonus pic of the sticker on the back of the GT350:

I forgot simply how beautiful the SLR was

It’s a damn nice piece of automotive ingenuity. Those seats are wafer thin, though. It’s basically a tiny piece of cushion on a carbon fiber backing.

Even for an H model, those fan shrouds are sloppy big. I admire the sentiment, but minus many points for accuracy.
Yes, I know I am critiquing a vinyl on the accuracy of the aircraft plan view. Deal with it.

Meh. It's the thought that counts.

Even in strategic bombing, closeness counts.

This is the place of my dreams. Smoke a cigar and see an SLR (hehe)? I’m in love

That’s an interesting observation and it speaks to the inherent compromise between luxury and performance that everybody talks about when they mention this car. Having said that, it is hands down one of my personal favorite cars.

I saw one of these yesterday. Same color, markings, and exhaust turn-out. I’m just not sure if it was real.

This one had multiple markings indicating it was real. If it isn't, someone is the biggest poseur/liar on the planet.
